Perhaps with all the hype around the Batman and Man of Steel / Justice League movies, we've kind of been slack toward the upcoming Suicide Squad movie... who knows but when you look at the pure star power of this movie alone, there's no question that it may well eclipse the Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice epic about to hit screens in March 2016.
The movie reteams Will Smith ( who alone has enough Hollywood traction to make this movie watchable ) and Margot Robbie, fresh off their romp in Focus (2015) as well as Jared Leto, who steps up to the plate to fill in the big shoes left behind by Heath Ledger as the Joker. Other stars include Joel Kinnaman ( Rick Flag ), Jai Courtney ( Boomerang ), Cara Delevingne ( Enchantress ), Viola Davis ( Amanda Walker ), Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje ( Killer Croc ), Karen Fukuhara ( Katana ), Jay Hernandez ( El Diablo ) and Adam Bleach ( Slipknot ).
Suicide Squad is directed and written by David Ayer with a August 5, 2016 release date.
